Being in the water filter industry and my husband being an HVAC tech (heating, air and indoor air quality specialist), I am concerned both about the quality of the water we drink and the indoor air we breath. But, when hubby comes home from a long day of work, the last thing he wants to do is work on the A/C unit, or change filters so recently when I was contacted and asked to test out an air purifying system for free and evaluate it, I jumped at the chance.
Jarden Consumer Solutions and www.aer1filters.com. (mother company of brands such as Mr. Coffee®, Crock Pot®, FoodSaver®, Sunbeam®, among others) recently sent me an e-mail asking if I would be willing to test out one of their aer1 filter products, do an evaluation, and recieve a free air purifier…?! I happily agreed.
Interestingly, many allergy and asthma-sufferers avoid the outdoors in certain conditions, instead preferring to stay indoors, however, according to the EPA, indoor air can be up to 5 times more polluted than outdoor air aggravating allergy and asthma symptoms even more. Because most Americans do not know this fact, we would like to open the dialogue about taking steps to help improve indoor air quality and the specific benefits in having cleaner indoor air. After all if we filter our water, why not our air too?
Since we have 3 cats and a dog, my husband and I both liked the look of the Bionaire® BAP825WO-U HEPA-Type Tower Air Purifier with Remote Control, and decided to go with it. We are looking forward to recieving and testing out this air purifier (they say it will arrive within 10-12 days) and reporting back the quality, performance and overall feelings of this product after using it for 4-6 weeks.
We will be happy to blog the outcome of our evaluation and give an honest non-biased opinion on the product after the required period. Since we are being compensated with this air purifier for free, we give you the Full disclosure statement for our readers: cmp.ly/2 .
