Science shows Fluoridation Ineffective & harmful

More than 3,825 professionals (including 328 dentists) urge that fluoridation be stopped citing scientific evidence that ingesting fluoride is ineffective at reducing tooth decay and has serious health risks. See statement: http://www.fluoridealert.org/professionals-statement.aspx

Eleven US EPA unions representing over 7000 environmental and public health professionals are calling for a moratorium on fluoridation. (b)

The CDC reports that 225 less communities adjusted for fluoride between 2006 and 2008. About 100 US and Canadian communities rejected fluoridation since 2008.

In 2011 the following stopped fluoridation in the US: Marcellus and Mt.Clemens, MI; Fairbanks and Palmer, Alaska; Spring Hill, Lawrenceburg & Hohenwald, TN; Philomath, OR; Pottstown, PA; College Station, TX; Spencer, Indiana; Naples, NY, Pinellas County and Tarpon, FL; Amesbury, MA. It’s crazy to think fluoride can be both good and bad for us. I try to always use my Brita filtered water bottle because I can’t stand the taste of tap water. I’m happy to know I may be doing myself a favor!

Bianca, Thank you for your comment, but unfortunately there is nothing good at all about fluoride. Whether it be in toothpaste or drinking water. Fluoride is toxic waste poison and should never be injested. In terms of your Brita filter, they do not remove or even reduce fluoride. (the only way to effectively reduce fluoride from tap water is through a Reverse Osmosis water filter). However, not all municipalities add fluoride to the water. Check with your municipality to find out if in fact they add fluoride. Then you may make an informed decision on whether or not you want it in your drinking water. Good luck.
