Organic Bug Spray – Better For You And Better For Our Environment!
Today, while at my local organic co-op Flagler Organics, I spotted some “organic bug spray“. I am one of those people that mosquitos absolutely love to munch on and I am continually getting bit up. Being a Florida girl, I love the sunshine and sit outside most evenings to read a book, enjoy a cocktail or a swim in the pool. I am also one of those people that have a severe reaction to bug bites. I wouldn’t say I am “alergic”, but for some reason, If I get bit in say, the foot, I have an extreme reaction and my foot will swell up and I will need to take a benadryl tablet or deal with days of swelling. If You seen my arms you would wonder what the heck is wrong with me because I have scars and bites all over me. The mosquitos here are absolutely vicious little creatures and so small that you dont even notice them biting you till you wake up the next morning and are covered with welts from these little blood sucking monsters. Anyway, I decided to buy this organic bug spray today to try it out. The ingredients listed are: Citronella oil, lemon grass oil and cedar oil.
This evening I promptly went outside, sat in my chair, sprayed the bug spray on my legs and arms and watched at least 3 mosquitos coming in for the kill. They hovered around my feet and legs but were a bit ambivalent from the smell and promptly went off looking for another sucker to munch on (but not before I was able to smash one of the little buggers to smithereens). Gotcha… you litte bugger! I recommend trying this super awesome organic bug spray in place of your chemical ridden “Off” spray with Deet.
Better for you and better for the environment!
