Hawaii First State To Ban Plastic Bags

February 13, 2014 by Laura

November 9, 2013 by Laura

In 2011, the U.S. generated 32 million tons of plastic waste, accounting for near 13 percent of the nation’s total garbage, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. This waste included nearly 14 million tons of plastic packaging and containers, roughly 11 million tons of durable goods such as household appliances, and almost seven million tons of non durable goods, such as cups, plates, and utensils. June 4, 2013 by Laura

Life-Sustaining Liquid: The Importance Of Clean Drinking Water In the developed world, we often take it for granted that a cool glass of refreshing water is available to us whenever we feel thirsty. May 22, 2012 by Laura

Fracking, fluoride, chlorine and toxic pollutants make our tap water a frightful slurry most lips find no thrill in sipping. But is filtering enough? What's the best water to be drinking to avoid toxins, and for optimal hydration? Let's have a look. Distilled: Vaporized to remove any residues, ...[READ MORE]

Welcome to the water filter lady’s blog! Meet Laura…

I have been in the water filter business since 2006. My goal is to help educate you. Deciding to drink filtered tap water instead of bottled water can have huge benefits for the earth. We can eliminate unnecessary waste going into our landfills and oceans, cut back on the energy it takes to produce and transport the bottles, reduce our exposure to harmful chemicals like BPA, and stop supporting an industry moving to turn water from a common resource into an expensive commodity.
